Cryospot 5

The Cryospot 5 is our newest cryogenic system that also offers the largest internal volume. It can be equipped with a variety of GM or pulse tube coolers and has twelve input/output ports. It has multiple free-space optical ports, and is also available in a low-vibration version. It can be equipped with up to two 12h, 24h, 36h, or 48h hour sorption fridges for experiments at 0.8K and/or 0.3K. This system can be configured to support up to 64 detector channels.

Standard features:

Compact 6" OD cryostat
Fits 0.1W - 1W @ 4.2 K Gifford-McMahon cryocooler or pulse-tube coolers
Typical base temperature: < 2.7 K
12x KF40 ports. 11 available for user electrical/optical feedthroughs
Table-top stand with swiveling assembly. Can be affixed to optics bench.
Temperature controller with touch-screen interface
Air- or water-cooled Helium compressor, voltage dependent on choice of cryocooler

Sorption Fridge add-on:

Accepts up to 2 Freeze4 4He sorption fridge with all thermometry and control wiring
Accepts a Freeze3 3He sorption fridge for operation at <0.3K [coming soon]
FreezeControl software for sorption fridge control and one-click cooldown, cycling, scheduling cycles, graphical monitoring, temperature logging.
